That is normal, it takes seconds, and nothing is lost.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cb\u003eThe app is signed with a free Apple certificate, and Apple expires those after 7 days.\u003c\/b\u003e After that the Relaxin app will not open until it is re-signed from a computer — so once the certificate lapses, a reboot leaves you on stock iOS until you re-sign. It is free and takes about five minutes. How to do it is below.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\u003ch3\u003eKeeping the jailbreak available after the first week\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eRe-signing means reinstalling the free Relaxin app with a signing tool so Apple accepts it again. You need a Windows or Mac computer, a cable, and an Apple ID. There is no cost.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDownload Relaxin only from \u003cb\u003erelaxin.owngoal.dev\u003c\/b\u003e — it is free and it is the only official source.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSideload it with a tool such as Sideloadly. With a \u003cb\u003efree\u003c\/b\u003e Apple ID the app is good for another 7 days; with a \u003cb\u003epaid\u003c\/b\u003e Apple Developer account (about £99\/year, optional and nothing to do with us) it lasts a year at a time.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eThen re-open Relaxin and re-apply as usual.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eIf your iPad ships on \u003cb\u003eiOS 17.0 exactly\u003c\/b\u003e, there is a permanent alternative: TrollStore installs Relaxin with no certificate and nothing to renew. Only experimental PPL code ships in this build; the team has said support for older silicon is planned, but it is not working today.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\u003ch3\u003eDo not let it update iOS\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eEligibility depends on the \u003cb\u003einstalled iOS version\u003c\/b\u003e, not the model name. Apple no longer signs any iOS 17 build, so a device updated past 17.3.1 \u003cb\u003ecannot be brought back\u003c\/b\u003e — by us or by anyone. An accidental update permanently ends the jailbreak on that iPad. We ship with automatic updates turned off and include guidance on keeping them off. No iPad newer than the 15 series ever shipped with iOS 17, so no newer model can be eligible at all.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eWhat we do before it ships\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e70-point bench test — screen, battery health, cameras, mics, speakers, charging, radios and sensors, checked by hand and logged.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cb\u003eRelaxin v0.3.4 installed, the jailbreak applied, and both verified working\u003c\/b\u003e before the iPad is packed.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eInstalled iOS version verified and recorded, left on 17.x, automatic updates off.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eShipped clean — no accounts, no profiles, nothing of ours left on it.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\u003ch3\u003eHonest limitations\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRelaxin is a \u003cb\u003epublic beta\u003c\/b\u003e by OwnGoal Studio, a free third-party project we did not write.
