Uninstalling Magisk
To uninstall Magisk, you can use the default uninstall option available in the Magisk Manager app. Here are the steps to follow:
- Open the Magisk Manager app on your phone. If you don’t have the app installed, you can download it from a trusted source.
- Click on the “Uninstall” button in the app.
- Then, click on the “Complete Uninstall” button.
- The app will ask for permission to download the uninstaller file. Grant the permission and wait for the file to download.
- Once the file is downloaded, the app will automatically uninstall Magisk from your phone.
- Your phone will reboot automatically after the uninstallation process is complete.
Uninstalling Magisk with TWRP
If you have TWRP recovery installed on your phone, you can use it to uninstall Magisk as well. Here are the steps to follow:
- Download the Magisk Manager app and save it to your phone’s internal storage.
- Rename the .apk file extension to uninstall.zip. For example, if the file is named Magisk-v26.4.apk, rename it to uninstall.zip.
- Download the uninstall.zip file to your phone’s internal storage.
- Turn off your phone.
- Press and hold the “Volume Down + Power Key” to boot your phone into TWRP recovery mode.
- Click on the “Install” button in TWRP.
- Navigate to the uninstall.zip file and select it.
- Swipe the slider to the right to flash the uninstaller zip file.
- Wait for the flashing process to complete.
- Once the flashing process is complete, click on the “Reboot System” button to reboot your phone.
Keep in mind that when you use TWRP to uninstall Magisk, it is imperative to flash the Magisk Module Uninstaller Zip onto your device.
Magisk is a great tool for customizing your Android device, but it’s important to uninstall it when you need to use certain apps that don’t support rooted devices. By following the steps outlined above, you can uninstall Magisk and unroot your phone quickly and easily.
