Kali NetHunter turns an Android phone into a portable penetration-testing platform, but the useful parts, wireless monitor mode, packet injection, HID keyboard attacks and BadUSB, only work with a NetHunter kernel built for the exact device. That is the fragile bit, and it is done here: every phone in this collection is rooted, flashed with the full NetHunter kernel where the model supports it, and tested before dispatch.

All current builds are OnePlus, from the OnePlus 7T and Nord 5G through the 8, 8 Pro and 8T to the OnePlus 11 Full Kernel Edition. The product page lists the exact kernel features enabled for that model.

The OnePlus 7T and Nord 5G keep the cost down for students and lab use. Whichever you pick, it still works as an everyday Android phone, with the usual caveats of a rooted device.

For most people the OnePlus 8 Pro: strong kernel support, a large battery and enough performance for the full toolset. The OnePlus 11 is faster if budget allows.

Do I need an external Wi-Fi adapter?

Not for most work: the NetHunter kernel enables monitor mode and injection on the internal chipset of supported OnePlus models. An external adapter over USB OTG adds range and extra bands.

Can I still use it as a normal phone?

Yes. Android runs as usual alongside NetHunter; it is a rooted phone, so some banking apps may refuse to run.

Is it legal to own a NetHunter phone?

Yes. The tools are legal to own and use on systems you are authorised to test. Testing anything else without permission is a criminal offence in the UK.

How do I keep NetHunter updated?
