3. Intellectual Property — Our Rights

The Site, its layout, graphics, text, product photography, software (including any custom code we have written), and the PrivacyPortal name and branding are owned by PrivacyPortal Ltd or licensed to us. They are protected by UK and international copyright, trademark, and database-right law.

You may view and print pages from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit any part of the Site without our prior written permission. Specifically prohibited:

• Republishing material from the Site without attribution and permission;
• Selling, renting, or sub-licensing material from the Site;
• Systematic scraping, crawling, or extraction of data from the Site;
• Using our brand, product photography, or copy in advertising or listings without permission;
• Impersonating PrivacyPortal or implying an association where none exists.

4. Third-Party Trademarks and No-Affiliation Statement

We sell and modify devices originally manufactured by third parties. We use the names of those manufacturers and their products in our descriptions for the sole purpose of identifying the goods we are selling. The use of these names does not imply any affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership.

In particular:

• Apple®, iPhone®, iPad®, iOS®, macOS®, and the Apple logo are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. PrivacyPortal Ltd is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Apple Inc. Devices we sell that have been jailbroken are not produced, supported, warranted, or endorsed by Apple Inc., and our modifications may void any warranty Apple Inc. would otherwise provide.
• Google®, Pixel®, Android™, and the Google logo are trademarks of Google LLC. PrivacyPortal Ltd is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to Google LLC. Devices we sell that have been rooted, DeGoogled, or otherwise modified are not produced, supported, warranted, or endorsed by Google LLC.

5. Open-Source Software Notices

The custom ROMs, jailbreaks, root frameworks, and other software components installed on devices we sell are typically open-source software, distributed under licences such as the GNU General Public License (GPL v2 / GPL v3), Apache License 2.0, MIT License, BSD License, or similar.

Examples of components we ship or build upon include (but are not limited to):

• LineageOS, GrapheneOS, /e/OS, CalyxOS and similar Android-based operating systems;
• Magisk, KernelSU, KernelSU NEXT, SukiSU Ultra and other root frameworks;
• Dopamine and other iOS jailbreak tools;
• Kali NetHunter and related security-research distributions;
• Various individual modules, kernels, and userspace components contributed by the wider open-source community.

Your use of these components is governed by the licence applicable to each component. We comply with our obligations under those licences, including providing source code on request where the licence requires it (for example, GPL-licensed components). To request source for any GPL-licensed component shipped on a device you purchased from us, email admin@privacyportal.co.uk with your order number and the component(s) you are interested in. We will respond within a reasonable period and may charge a reasonable fee to cover the cost of physical media or transfer where the licence permits.

Open-source software is provided "as is", without warranty, by its authors. Where we install open-source components on a device, our own statutory obligations to you as the seller of the device are unaffected (see our Return and Refund Policy and Terms of Service), but the open-source components themselves carry no warranty from their original authors.

6. Modified Devices — Important Disclaimer

All devices we sell have been professionally rooted, jailbroken, or otherwise modified before despatch. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge that:

• Original manufacturer warranties (Apple, Google, Samsung, etc.) may be void or limited as a result of the modification we have performed;
• Software updates pushed by the original manufacturer may not work as intended on a modified device, may revert your modifications, or may cause functional issues;
• Banking apps, streaming services, payment apps, and other applications that perform integrity checks (e.g. Google Play Integrity API, Apple device attestation) may refuse to run on a rooted or jailbroken device. We cannot guarantee any specific app will work;
• The security model of a rooted/jailbroken device differs from a stock device. You take on additional responsibility for what you install and run.

These are inherent characteristics of the products we sell — not faults. Your statutory rights for genuine faults remain fully protected (see our Return and Refund Policy).

7. Lawful Use Disclaimer

The devices and services we sell are powerful tools. They are intended for lawful use only — including privacy protection, security research, education, accessibility, and personal customisation.

You are solely responsible for using our products in compliance with the law of the United Kingdom and the law of any country where you use them. In particular:

• The Computer Misuse Act 1990 criminalises unauthorised access to computers, networks, and data;
• The Investigatory Powers Act 2016 regulates the interception of communications;
• The Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR regulate the processing of personal data, including data captured by tools running on your device;
• The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 regulates the circumvention of technological protection measures.

We do not, and cannot, monitor what you do with a device after we ship it. If you misuse our products, the legal and regulatory consequences fall on you, not us. See Section 3 of our Terms of Service for full detail.

8. Export Control and Sanctions

Some of the tools and configurations we offer (in particular security-research distributions such as Kali NetHunter and certain network analysis tools) may be subject to export control under the Export Control Order 2008, the EU Dual-Use Regulation (where applicable), or equivalent rules in your country. Customers in or shipping to countries subject to UK or international sanctions may not be able to receive certain products.

We screen orders against the OFSI Consolidated List of Financial Sanctions Targets and decline orders to sanctioned destinations or individuals. We may decline an order, request additional information, or report a transaction where required by law.

9. No Professional Advice

The Site provides general information about devices, software, privacy, and security. It does not provide legal, financial, regulatory, medical, or professional security advice. Information on the Site is offered for general educational purposes only.

If you need advice on your specific circumstances — including operational security in a high-threat environment, legal questions about lawful use of security tools, or the right product for a regulated use case — consult a qualified professional.

We try to keep information on the Site accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that all information is complete, up to date, or free from error. Reliance on Site content is at your own risk.

The Site uses or links to third-party services and websites, including (but not limited to):

We do not control these third parties, are not responsible for their content, and are not responsible for the goods or services they provide. Their use is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We recommend reviewing those terms before engaging.

11. Reporting Intellectual Property Infringement

If you are a rights holder and believe content on our Site infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, please send a notice to admin@privacyportal.co.uk containing:

1. Your full name, organisation, and contact details (including email and physical address);
2. A clear identification of the work or right you claim has been infringed;
3. The URL(s) on our Site where the allegedly infringing content appears;
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent, or the law;
5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on the rights holder's behalf;
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We will review properly submitted notices promptly and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the content while we investigate. If you believe content of yours has been removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address with equivalent information explaining your position.

We reserve the right to forward notices to the user who posted the content (where applicable) and to refer abusive or repeated bad-faith notices to legal counsel.

12. Reporting Security Vulnerabilities

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in our Site, our infrastructure, or a product we have shipped, please email admin@privacyportal.co.uk with the subject line "Security disclosure" before sharing the issue publicly. We will:

• Acknowledge your report within 5 working days;
• Investigate and, where confirmed, work on a fix;
• Credit you (where you wish to be credited) in any public disclosure once a fix is in place.

We do not currently operate a paid bug-bounty programme. We do not pursue legal action against good-faith security researchers who follow responsible-disclosure principles. Please do not access, modify, or exfiltrate any data that does not belong to you, and do not test against other customers' accounts or data.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Legal Notice and the Site itself are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any dispute, except that:

• Consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also bring proceedings in their local courts;
• Consumers resident outside the UK may have the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence under that country's mandatory consumer protection laws.
