OnePlus 5 — Ubuntu Touch

OnePlus 5 supplied with Ubuntu Touch preparation. A mobile Linux alternative for native Ubuntu Touch apps and supported Linux workflows. Select the hardware and condition configuration above.

Software and setup choices

• Installed OS: Ubuntu Touch for OnePlus 5 (device target cheeseburger), a mobile Linux system using the Lomiri interface.
• Root choices: Magisk, APatch and KernelSU are Android root managers and are not part of this Ubuntu Touch offering. Linux administrative access is managed through Ubuntu Touch’s own tools.
• Google apps: the standard setup has no Android Google Play package. Native apps come from the Ubuntu Touch ecosystem. Waydroid availability and Android-app support depend on the exact port; it is not an included guarantee of Play Store, banking or DRM compatibility.

Bootloader state

Android-origin Ubuntu Touch installations require the device-specific unlocked or modified boot environment. No Android root manager is installed, but that does not mean the original locked Android boot state is restored. Do not relock after flashing Ubuntu Touch.

Compatibility to check before ordering

• UBports currently marks these features as not working for the documented release: LTE calling (VoLTE).
• Features marked as only partially working: Notification LED; Offline charging; Microphone. Read the linked port notes for the precise restrictions.
• Check voice-call support with your mobile network before buying. Mobile data and signal reception do not guarantee LTE voice calls on this port.

Updates and support

Maintenance: UBports marks this device port as unmaintained. The device page also lists Ubuntu Touch 24.04 (Noble) update channels, checked on 2 October 2026. Available system updates do not guarantee fixes for this port’s known hardware limitations or future device maintenance.

Use Settings → Updates for the installed Ubuntu Touch release and channel. Follow the port’s migration instructions for a new Ubuntu base; do not apply generic desktop Ubuntu distribution upgrades or flash another device’s images. Back up your data first.

Condition and what is included

• Preloved / Used: previously owned and function-tested; visible cosmetic wear may be present.
• Like New: previously owned, with minimal cosmetic wear. This is a used-device grade.
• Battery capacity above is the original hardware specification, not a measurement of the supplied unit’s battery health. Used batteries can have reduced capacity.

The selected device, the software preparation described here and protective packaging. A mains charger, charging cable, case, stylus, dock or other accessory is included only if expressly listed or added to your order. Third-party paid apps, accounts and subscriptions are separate.

Preparation, delivery and returns

Devices are prepared to order. Your selected setup is installed and function-checked before dispatch. Our custom-ROM and specialist configuration preparation target is 3–5 working days, with up to 10 working days allowed for custom preparation. Working days exclude UK weekends and public holidays.
