Xiaomi Redmi 12C — LineageOS

Xiaomi Redmi 12C supplied with LineageOS preparation. A prepared open-source Android alternative, with software choices and device-specific support explained below. Select the hardware and condition configuration above.

Software and setup choices

• Installed OS: LineageOS Android for Xiaomi Redmi 12C. The operating system is prepared for the exact supported hardware target, replacing the manufacturer’s standard Android interface.
• Root choices: select No Root / Magisk. No Root is the standard choice; root is installed only when selected.
• Google apps: choose Keep de-Googled or Install Google apps. The matching package is installed before the first boot when selected; it is separate from your root choice.

Bootloader state

The bootloader remains unlocked with this custom-ROM configuration. Choosing No Root does not relock it. Do not relock the bootloader unless the project explicitly documents a safe procedure for the exact signed build and device.

Compatibility to check before ordering

• Manufacturer camera processing, eSIM, calling features, DRM playback and accessories can behave differently from stock firmware. Check any essential feature against the linked device guide; a hardware feature in the specification is not proof that the ROM implements it.
• Banking, payment, work-profile, streaming and game apps may reject a modified device or depend on Google services. Play Integrity, DRM quality and future app compatibility are not guaranteed by root, a custom ROM or a bootloader setting.

Updates and support

For routine updates, use the LineageOS Updater for the installed branch. For a major LineageOS/Android upgrade, follow the earth upgrade guide, including its firmware and recovery requirements; this can differ from an ordinary OTA. Back up first and check root and Google-apps package compatibility before upgrading.

The official device record reviewed on 28 September 2026 lists LineageOS 23.2 for earth. The build supplied must match the prepared unit and the configuration you order; confirm a required Android version before purchase.

Condition and what is included

• Choose the cosmetic condition shown for the available configuration, or contact us if the grade is not specified.
• Battery capacity above is the original hardware specification, not a measurement of the supplied unit’s battery health. Used batteries can have reduced capacity.

The selected device, the software preparation described here and protective packaging. A mains charger, charging cable, case, stylus, dock or other accessory is included only if expressly listed or added to your order. Third-party paid apps, accounts and subscriptions are separate.

Preparation, delivery and returns

Devices are prepared to order. Your selected setup is installed and function-checked before dispatch. Our custom-ROM and specialist configuration preparation target is 3–5 working days, with up to 10 working days allowed for custom preparation. Working days exclude UK weekends and public holidays.
