APatch preparation and compatibility
OnePlus 9 Pro uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. This configuration requires an unlockable bootloader and a compatible ARM64 Android kernel. APatch currently supports kernel versions 3.18–6.12 with the required kernel symbol configuration (CONFIG_KALLSYMS). Firmware and kernel configuration must match the device being prepared.
APatch patches the kernel in the device's matching stock boot image. Its manager controls which apps receive root access. AndroidPatch modules and KernelPatch modules have their own compatibility requirements; Magisk and Zygisk modules are not automatically interchangeable.
Before you update
System updates can replace the patched boot image and affect root or installed modules. Keep a backup and contact us before updating if you need help preserving your configuration. Banking, payment, game and Play Integrity compatibility can change and is not guaranteed.
